Alopecia

Is an autoimmune disorder that causes the hair follicles to shut down. This disease has varying degrees; alopecia areata affects both sexes equally and may, but does not always progress to significant hair loss. Currently there is no known cause or cure for alopecia, the degrees of alopecia are as follows:

Alopecia Areata Ophiasis – loss in bands along the scalp margins.

Alopecia Areata Sisaipho – loss of all scalp hair except along the scalp margins.

Alopecia Universalis – loss of all scalp and body hair.

Cancer

Radiation treatment to the brain stem as a treatment for cancer can cause permanent hair loss. Chemotherapy may also cause hair loss to be long term depending on the length of treatment needed.

Other Causes Of Hair Loss

Ectodermal Dysplasia – A heritable disorder that effects the formation of the ectoderm. Extremely sparse hair can be a result of ectoderm abnormality.

Loose Anagen syndrome – An abnormality where hair is thin and normally does not grow beyond the nape of the neck.

Trichotillomania – compulsive and repetitive hair pulling.

Telogen Effiuvium – diffuse but excessive shedding related to sudden stress.

Trauma – Burns, accidents.

How Does Our Hair Replacement System Work?

Our hair replacement units are made from the finest quality virgin remy / remy cuticle Indian human hair. This specific type of human hair will not tangle, matt or dry out. It can be styled with heat tongs, rollers or irons, washed and conditioned like natural hair. Because the hair is of such excellent quality it means that our hair replacement units can last between 8 – 18 months depending correct after care.

Our hair replacement units are unique as they are carefully hand crafted, made to your exact specification and head size and are not available from any high street store. Our specialist units are constructed from a very fine, but strong mesh material which is available in flesh tone colours to suit women of any nationality. This specialist material consists of thousands of tiny holes in which we tie 1 – 2 strands of hair, this is done with excellent workmanship so you must allow 5 – 6 weeks delivery time before receiving your custom made unit.

Once your unit has been completed you will be contacted to arrange your fitting. Your personal hair replacement specialist will fit your new hair unit to perfection, at a convenient time and in complete privacy. Your hair unit is attached using a waterproof clear adhesive tape; once the hair unit is then pressed down and secured on to the head the mesh material becomes invisible, giving the illusion that the strands of hair are actually growing from your scalp. Your unit will stay secure on your head for up to 40 days and you will not have the worry of it falling off within this time period because it has to be removed with a specialist solvent.

We will also provide you with free after care advice and products so that you go home confident, and your hair unit will stay secure and look fabulous every day of the week. You can then enjoy your new hair, experiment with new styles and have a new found confidence.

The next meeting will be to remove wash and reattach your hair unit approximately 40 days later your first reattachment is free, further reattachments are £30.
